MoH: People Should be Careful on Omicron

PHNOM PENH: Secretary of State and spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Or Vandie urged the people to take measures to maintain the three preventive measures, not to mention the Covid-19 vaccine to prevent the seriousness of the disease or the death by Covid-19 especially “Omicron”.

 She says: "I understand that 2022 will be the year that the Omicron virus infects the whole world, including Cambodia. Therefore, be vigilant and be prepared to respond to any eventual outbreak."

 To date, the Ministry of Health has announced the discovery of four new cases of Omicron, including three Cambodian women and a foreign man.

 Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Moradok Techo National Stadium on the morning of 18 December 2021, PM Hun Sen stated that the government will continue to vaccinate the people, which is the main task to save the lives of the people, while he also encourages people to get use to live in a new normal life in a new way to protect themselves from Covid-19.

 He also called on people not to panic about the discovery of Covid-19 new mutation Omicron, as the new mutation virus has not yet shown a case of killing like the mutation virus Delta and Alpha to citizens to maintain self-defense measures rather than panic.
